World Economic Ranking
This ranking is based on gross national income (GNI) per capita in US dollars. Established each year on July 1st, each country is classified into different categories.
They are calculated using the World Bank method. Low-income economies are defined as having a per capita GNI of $1025 or less in 2018, lower-middle-income economies between $1026 and $3,995, middle-income economies between $3,996 and $12,375 and high-income economies are those where it is $12,376 or more.
Estimates of gross national income are derived from economists in World Bank country units. The data, available in an interactive map format, can also be downloaded in twbx format.
