Renewable energy in the EU (EurObserv’ER)
Since 1998, the EurObserv’ER barometer has annually measured the progress made in renewable energy in each EU member state, by each energy source (solar, biodiesel, wind, biomass).
The report presents a wide range of indicators which, far from just focusing on questions of energy (installed capacity, annual production, etc.), it also looks at the socio-economic impacts of renewable energy, notably in terms of employment. In addition, a report on individual energy sources is published every two months.
The data used, which is usually no older than one year, can be consulted online through an interactive database, where you can select specific energy sectors and indicators for one or more countries and a given year. The data for all of the EU can be downloaded in Excel format.
