Pension schemes (OECD)
Every two years, the OECD publishes a very thorough report on pension schemes in OECD and G20 countries. Nearly 200 pages long, it begins with an overview of the rates, retirement age and macroeconomic balance in each country, and formulates projections which take into account current reforms.
Each year, the institution also explores in detail themes which shed light on contemporary debates. In 2017 for example, the accent is placed on the consequences of an eventual flexibilisation of pension schemes in OECD countries, and on workers’ perceptions of those changes.
This report is a treasure-trove of data, downloadable in Excel format by following the links indicated under each of the graphics. For each country studied, there are also profiles available, usually about 12 pages long. Finally, for a more in-depth analysis, this report can be studies alongside a new report published this year by the OECD on the prevention of age-related inequality .
