Europe’s climate and energy objectives (EEA)
The European Environment Agency publishes an annual report to monitor Europe’s climate and energy objectives .
The report is based on the most recent data provided by EU Member States on greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy use and energy consumption.
“The European Union’s progress towards its climate and energy objectives by 2020 is slowing down, in particular due to an increase in energy consumption,” the institution points out this year. The follow-up of the next few years will therefore be crucial.
