Assisted reproductive technologies in Europe (ESHRE)
For eighteen years, the European consortium for the monitoring of in vitro fertilization (EIM) has been gathering various data concerning medically assisted reproduction. In 2014, nearly 39 European countries were involved as part of ESHRE (European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology). The data relating to the processing operations were collected between January 1 and December 31, 2014.
These compiled data provide an overview of the situation in each European country. They have been provided by national registries as well as on a voluntary basis by clinics and companies. An analysis is published annually in the Human Reproduction journal , which includes indicators on the number of births per assisted reproductive technologies, the evolution of the number of treatment cycles and the number of clinics.
Relevant records on these issues are available dating back to 1997. The data for each annual report is available in .pdf format.
